The obscure form of digital currency encountered an immediate 30% upsurge in its worth.
It was observed that Twitter’s homepage and loading screen underwent modifications by featuring the shiba inu image linked with the Dogecoin meme-coin cryptocurrency. Twitter’s CEO, Elon Musk, posted a humorous meme utilizing the dog picture, which was interpreted as a delayed April Fool’s prank by many.
The official Dogecoin account also tweeted a response: “Very currency. Wow. Much Coin. How Money. So Crypto.”

The alteration transpired just a few days after Musk solicited a US court to disregard a lawsuit presented against him by Dogecoin shareholders, amounting to $258 billion, over an alleged pyramid scheme, according to The Guardian. The complaint claims that “Musk employed his standing as the world’s wealthiest individual to control and manipulate the Dogecoin Pyramid Scheme for his gain, publicity, and entertainment.”
Upon modifying Twitter’s insignia, Dogecoin leaped from US$0.079 to US$0.094, the highest value the currency has achieved since the previous November.
